​Understanding Dementia

The term “dementia” is used to describe a group of disorders that affect memory and the brain. Dementia includes a loss of intellectual function that may include reasoning, judgment, thinking, and remembering.

This loss affects personality, behavior, and mental function, and those who are diagnosed with this condition will have severe changes in their daily functioning. 

Types of Dementia Include:

  • Alzheimer’s Disease

  • Vascular Dementia

  • Dementia with Lewy Bodies

  • Frontotemporal Lobe Dementia

  • Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease

  • Parkinson’s Disease

  • Huntington’s Disease

LONG-TERM CARE

 

Our specialized long-term care programs are designed to meet each resident's individual needs. This allows family members to enjoy quality, worry-free time with their loved one, knowing that their needs are being met with the utmost attention.

Expert Team

  • Medical Team: our Medical Director, Physician’s Assistant and Nurse Practitioner oversee healthcare at our campuses

  • Therapy Staff: accessible seven days a week

  • Licensed Nurses: led by our Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and Medical Director, this staff of qualified nurses are present around the clock providing skilled care and compassion to each resident

  • Registered Dietitian: ensures dining options are available for any restricted diet
